Tundra swans and great blue herons start out our new month of photos. We have all types of waterbirds and shore birds. Snowy egret, great white heron, Canadian geese, elegant tern, red necked phalarope, least sandpiper, western sandpiper, ruddy turnstone, long billed dowitcher, black turnstone, spotted sandpiper, killdeer, black bellied plover, semipalmated plover, white pelicans, brown pelicans, American bittern, Pacific loon, California gull, white faced ibis, black necked stilt, greater yellowlegs, black oystercatchers, ring billed gull, common merganser, hooded merganser, western grebe, eared grebes, pied billed grebe, bufflehead, mallards, northern shovelers, Barrow’s goldeneye…. And the list goes on. We received new images of smooth hammerhead sharks, Sphyrna zygaena, very rare to photograph! The spectacular pelagic stingray, Dasyatis violacea, photographed in green water off of Mexico. See our topside images of a local craft market in Captain Cook, Hawaii – we have carved fishhooks, Hawaiian weapons, decorative gourd carving, go to Plum Island near Newburyport Massachusetts where they have the Parker River Wildlife Refuge. Lots of wrecks in Egypt and Normandy, France. It is fascinating exploring all these underwater wrecks – and we dive into some deep ones here! Dunraven, And last – view our spectacular waterfalls cascading down from the mountains – you will enjoy the fall foliage and serenity of these images.
