Lynn Webber joined SeaPics.com in May of 2006. Lynn was born
and raised in Roseville, California, near the foothills of
the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range, but has also called Oregon
and Washington home. She and her husband Ty are recent transplants
to the Big Island of Hawaii from Auburn, California.
Lynn joined SeaPics.com as our bookkeeper and right hand
to owner Sue, bringing with her over 26 years of accounting
experience, mostly in the automotive industry. Working in
the auto industry proved to be very unfulfilling to Lynn,
and at the late age of 33, she began a degree program in
biotechnology while working full time, in Seattle, Washington.
Almost two years into the biotechnology program, she moved
back to Northern California, worked in another dead-end auto
dealership job, and decided to change her major to biological
sciences. Lynn is currently working towards her bachelor’s
degree in biology. She has attended Seattle Central College,
Sierra College, Sac State, and UC Berkeley. Lynn has an
eager thirst for knowledge and will most likely remain a
lifetime student by choice.
Since arriving on the Big Island of Hawaii, Lynn and her
husband have made a point to be in the water snorkeling and
swimming as much a time allows, which is at least three times
a week.
Brought up with a love of the nature and the ocean in particular,
working at SeaPics.com has allowed Lynn to grow into a rounded,
more fulfilled person, being able to use her skills while
working near the nature she loves.
Lynn loves to volunteer her time to help the island, the
ocean and its inhabitants. Some of her volunteer projects
include Reef Teach of Kahalu’u Bay, Ocean Conservancy, and
the Ironman Triathalon. |
